Christie Hsiao is founder, president, and CEO of Serenity Media Group, Inc. It is her vision to create quality entertainment that is uplifting, international in scope, and that catalyzes change. Ms. Hsiao believes in the unique power of story to raise awareness and to compel societal transformation. She serves as creative director for all of Serenity's projects, as well as overseeing all aspects of Serenity's marketing strategy, business development, continuance and growth.

The specific combination of CEO Christie Hsiao's American business sensibility and strong working relations in Asian film industries combine to uniquely position Serenity Media Group as a bicultural conduit between Asian and America markets. Ms. Hsiao is one of the key investors in Yasuno Trading & New Vision International Co., a consumer goods manufacturer with offices and factories in Taiwan, China, and Japan. She has also served as a financial analyst and managed the marketing departments for Yasuno, using her fluent Chinese and English to act as the key communication liaison to buyers worldwide.

Ms. Hsiao has produced several independent films, including The Gold Retrievers with Billy Zane, Steve Guttenberg and Curtis Armstrong, Dark Honeymoon with Roy Scheider, Eric Roberts, Tia Carrere and Daryl Hannah and Love is the Drug with Lizzy Caplan, John Patrick Amedori, and Daryl Hannah. Currently in development are Without a Badge with Permut Presentations and Dorothy of Oz with Martin Short, Jim Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and Kelsey Grammer.

Originally from Taiwan, Ms. Hsiao comes from an elite family with strong government and entertainment industry ties throughout Asia and elsewhere in the world. After moving to California to pursue her Bachelors Degree at UCLA, Ms. Hsiao majored in Communications and East Asian Studies and earned an MBA from Pepperdine University. Ms. Hsiao went on to study film at NYU where she wrote, directed and produced several well-reviewed short films.

While consulting for several independent film and TV production companies in 2008, Ms. Hsiao enabled them to expand their reach into foreign territories, infiltrate the Asian entertainment industry and tap into the Asian film market. This experience inspired Ms. Hsiao to launch her own production company dedicated to bridging American and international markets by developing projects with global appeal. Thus, Serenity Media Group was born. 

As Serenity Media Group establishes itself as an international force, Ms. Hsiao continues to build upon a myriad of business relationships with key players in Asian government and entertainment to serve as financiers and collaborators for Serenity's roster of film, TV and digital media projects.
